[Job-32020] Senior Data Steward, Brazil

Role overview Contribute to a Data Governance team that drives data quality, ownership, and usability across the organization. The role sits between business and technical stakeholders, establishing governance processes, managing metadata, and supporting data quality initiatives. You will help ensure data is documented, trusted, and aligned with governance standards across the enterprise.

Responsibilities - Manage metadata requests and maintain data documentation and catalog information - Act as a business and governance analyst for data-related initiatives - Partner with data owners and business stakeholders to define and document data ownership and accountability - Ensure adherence to data governance policies, standards, and best practices - Identify data issues and coordinate resolution through the appropriate governance processes - Profile datasets and create basic data quality checks and controls, collaborating with technical and business teams to improve standards

Requirements - Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Data Management roles - Strong understanding of governance frameworks, metadata management, data quality principles, data ownership and lifecycle, and data contracts - Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts including ingestion processes and ETL/ELT, plus experience or familiarity with Databricks environments - Understanding of programming logic and basic knowledge of Python, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Advanced English communication skills

Nice to have - Experience with data catalog and metadata management tools - Background implementing or supporting Data Quality initiatives - Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and governance solutions - Experience working in global, cross-functional environments
