Role overview

A senior architect position owning the technical direction of a data modernization engagement for a large enterprise client. The role blends hands-on architecture with team and stakeholder leadership, guiding data scientists and developers across Mexico, North America, Brazil, and other Latin American countries. The architect translates business problems into data products while balancing foundational work with incremental, measurable delivery.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership, enabling data scientists and developers to build, enhance, and maintain data products across the engagement. - Participate in design and architecture discussions, defining solutions aligned with security and performance best practices. - Translate business and technical requirements into viable data solutions, selecting appropriate frameworks and approaches. - Align directly with client stakeholders, balancing foundational technical priorities with practical business outcomes. - Collaborate with strategy, customer experience, product, and program management teams to ensure solutions serve broader goals. - Maintain a stable, productive development environment for the delivery team. - Contribute to data assessments and modernization roadmaps that prioritize incremental value. - Coordinate delivery across multiple markets, drawing on shared practice expertise.

Requirements

- Advanced or fluent English and Spanish (C1 or above). - Solid experience in data architecture design and technical leadership. - Proven background designing, developing, and deploying pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products. - Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake. - Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration and workflow automation. - Track record translating business problems into data solutions.

Nice to have

- Consultative data assessment or data modernization experience. - Knowledge of data governance principles. - CI/CD and MLOps pipeline experience. - Pre-sales collaboration or presenting data solutions to non-technical audiences. - Ability to build proofs of concept and prototype complex mechanisms. - Experience scaling data workloads. - Familiarity with AI engagements, agentic coding, or Google Cloud Platform.
