DATA Tech Lead, Brazil

Role overview A hands-on technical leadership role guiding multiple data engineering teams that deliver scalable, business-driven data platforms for large enterprise clients. The position combines architecture oversight, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on modern cloud data tooling and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities - Lead and support several data engineering squads, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture and mentoring engineers on growth and technical craft - Design, review, and oversee scalable data solutions built on Databricks and modern cloud data platforms, defining coding standards, architecture principles, and documentation guidelines - Conduct code reviews, drive process optimization and automation, and stay current on trends in data engineering and analytics - Validate technical deliverables against engineering standards and client expectations, and establish quality-assurance practices focused on data integrity, reliability, and governance - Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into data strategy, acting as a trusted advisor and facilitating clear communication across teams

Requirements - Advanced English (written and spoken) - Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, information technology, or a related field - Strong hands-on background in Data Engineering, including deep experience with Databricks and Apache Spark - Solid experience with at least one major cloud data platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP - Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java - Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing concepts - Proven track record leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and making architectural decisions in fast-paced, multi-priority environments

Nice to have - Experience in consulting environments working with international clients - Familiarity designing data governance and quality frameworks - Knowledge of modern data architecture patterns such as Lakehouse - Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices - Relevant certifications in Databricks, cloud platforms, or data engineering
