Epic Tapestry Applications Manager

Role overview An applications manager is needed to lead an Epic Tapestry application team supporting health plan and managed care functionality for a large healthcare client engagement. This is a 4 to 5 month contract role overseeing design, configuration, optimization, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance while ensuring solutions align with operational priorities, regulatory requirements, and organizational strategy. The position partners closely with operational, clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders across payer workflows.

Responsibilities - Lead and manage the Epic Tapestry applications team, including analysts and consultants - Provide oversight across Managed Care Administration, Utilization Management, Contracts, Membership, Benefits, Provider Management, and related workflows - Partner with operational and IT leadership to set priorities, application strategy, and project roadmaps - Oversee application design, configuration, testing, implementation, upgrades, optimization, and production support - Manage project scope, timelines, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables - Mentor Epic analysts and coordinate cross-application dependencies with other Epic and technical teams - Translate business requirements from health plan, managed care, utilization management, contracting, claims, and provider operations into effective Epic solutions - Communicate application status, risks, priorities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred - 5+ years of Epic application experience with significant work supporting Epic Tapestry - Prior experience managing or leading an Epic application team strongly preferred - Strong knowledge of managed care, payer, health plan, utilization management, provider, membership, benefits, or claims workflows - Experience leading Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, or major application projects - Solid understanding of Epic governance, change control, testing, release management, and production support

Benefits and work setup - 4 to 5 month contract engagement - Hourly compensation range: $90 to $100 per hour, dependent on skills, experience, and certifications
