Role overview
Architect, develop, and scale the backend services that form the backbone of a platform designed to gather, secure, and contextualize software development lifecycle data. As a founding member, you will shape both the core systems and the engineering culture from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of ambiguous projects, from initial design and technical proposals through implementation, testing, and production monitoring. - Build robust backend services in Go with strong RESTful API design and, where applicable, gRPC. - Leverage cloud-native tooling including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry. - Contribute to data-centric features such as search, insights, and AI-driven capabilities built on large datasets. - Help define engineering culture, processes, and technical standards as one of the earliest hires. - Apply security-by-design thinking and DevSecOps principles across platform development.
Requirements
- Ten or more years designing, building, and maintaining complex backend systems. - Strong hands-on Go experience, or deep expertise in another backend language combined with a clear drive to learn Go. - Solid grasp of cloud-native technologies and well-designed RESTful APIs. - Excellent analytical skills and a collaborative, mentorship-oriented mindset suited to culture building. - High-growth mindset: rapid learner, receptive to feedback, comfortable with early-stage ambiguity. - Genuine interest in software security, DevSecOps, or secure-by-design principles.
Nice to have
- Early-stage product experience. - Familiarity with gRPC, data pipelines, search technologies such as Elastic or vector databases, or RAG patterns. - Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
