Software Development Engineer – Azure CLI / Azure PowerShell

Role overview

Build and maintain cloud command-line and automation tools, contributing to either a Python-based CLI or C# PowerShell modules. The work includes developing features, improving code quality, and collaborating with distributed engineering teams on open-source projects and delivery workflows.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain features for the selected CLI or PowerShell toolset. - Write clear, scalable, documented code. - Review code and contribute to shared engineering practices. - Coordinate with engineers across teams to deliver reliable changes. - Participate in open-source development and CI/CD workflows.

Requirements - A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - At least two years of software development experience. - Strong Python skills for CLI work or C# skills for PowerShell development. - Problem-solving and software design ability, with care for quality and performance. - Familiarity with open-source development practices. - Professional English proficiency across written and spoken communication.

Nice to have - Mandarin communication skills. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automation, or DevOps tools. - Knowledge of a cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Experience troubleshooting complex systems and working with Windows or Linux servers.
