About this role
Role overview Own client engagements that take AI systems from discovery through production and handoff. You lead the relationship and delivery independently, choosing an appropriate technical approach and leaving behind maintainable software or automations. The role has two possible emphases: hands-on AI and cloud engineering, or AI adoption and workflow automation within a business function.
Responsibilities - Lead discovery, stakeholder interviews, and architecture reviews; turn unclear needs into scoped delivery plans. - Design and build production solutions suited to each client’s environment, and take responsibility for technical decisions and quality. - Manage delivery risks and scope changes, and identify sensible follow-on opportunities. - Hand over documented, runnable solutions that client teams can maintain after the engagement. - Contribute reusable patterns, templates, and components to shared practice materials.
Requirements - At least five years of engineering or technical delivery experience, including substantial client-facing or embedded work. - Evidence of independently owning a client account from kickoff through close. - Practical depth in one or more areas: LLM applications, cloud-native architecture, large-scale backend systems, or enterprise automation. - Ability to make sound technical decisions and maintain delivery quality in client environments. - Clear communication with both engineers and senior leaders, with the judgment to adapt technical detail. - Comfort delivering useful results while requirements are still evolving.
Nice to have - Experience taking AI systems such as retrieval-augmented applications, agents, or fine-tuned models into production. - Familiarity with LLM platforms and techniques such as prompt design, model settings, and tool use; cloud certifications are also relevant. - Consulting or professional services experience, including statement-of-work delivery and scope management. - For an operational focus: experience in a business function, AI training for nontechnical teams, workflow automation tools, or enterprise platforms.
Benefits and work setup Fully remote, with travel of up to 50% depending on business needs. Benefits include medical coverage for eligible dependents, flexible paid time off and holidays, phantom equity, certification and learning support, equipment and office stipends, and professional development planning.
