Web Developer – E-Commerce & Internal Tools

Role overview

This role focuses on building and improving e-commerce infrastructure, internal business tools, and data connections that support online sales and operations. You will work across front-end development, backend services, integrations, reporting, and troubleshooting, partnering directly with marketing, creative, and operations stakeholders to deliver practical, high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain custom Shopify Plus themes, Liquid templates, backend customizations, and checkout extensions. - Build internal tools, dashboards, and reporting workflows that help teams make faster operational and marketing decisions. - Create and maintain REST API integrations connecting the e-commerce platform with fulfillment providers, marketplaces, analytics systems, and other services. - Design data pipelines that bring together advertising, fulfillment, sales, and performance information from multiple sources. - Investigate and resolve technical issues across the e-commerce technology stack. - Help define project scope and priorities based on business value, working closely with non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

- Strong web development skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus backend experience using Python, Node.js, or a comparable technology. - Practical experience building or maintaining REST APIs and third-party integrations. - Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-moving, small-team environment. - Strong written and spoken English communication skills. - Residence in South America, dependable internet access, and availability overlapping with U.S. business hours, preferably Eastern Time.

Nice to have

- Experience with Shopify or Shopify Plus, including Liquid, Storefront/Admin APIs, Flow, or Scripts. - Familiarity with dashboards, data visualization, ETL processes, BigQuery, spreadsheet APIs, or similar data tools. - Experience with e-commerce operations, fulfillment systems, marketplace APIs, or automation and AI-enabled workflows.
