Node.js Developer (Senior)

Role overview

This is a senior backend role focused on designing and building the API and service layer that powers machine learning systems and customer-facing web products at scale. Responsibilities

- Architect and implement backend services and APIs that integrate with ML systems and production web products - Define service boundaries, data contracts, and deployment patterns suited to high-throughput workloads - Build and maintain integrations between model-serving components and product-facing endpoints - Profile and optimize backend systems for latency, throughput, and reliability under production load - Contribute to engineering standards, code review practices, and operational readiness across the team

Requirements

- Extensive professional experience building production backend systems in Node.js - Strong background in API design, including REST and event-driven patterns - Familiarity with the realities of serving machine learning models in production, such as batching, caching, and asynchronous workflows - Comfort working with cloud infrastructure, containers, and observability tooling - A track record of leading technical decisions on backend architecture
