About this role
Role overview Lead the engineering organization responsible for building a new enterprise data foundation that powers next-generation AI-driven products and client-facing analytics, while simultaneously expanding an integration footprint to support new product lines and go-to-market motions. As Sr. Director of Data & Integrations Engineering, you will report to the CTO and lead approximately 35 engineers across three teams through three experienced managers, supported by Principal Engineers who own deep technical vision and architecture.
Responsibilities - Establish delivery predictability across three parallel workstreams: greenfield platform work, client-facing implementations, and live production operations - Build the processes, intake frameworks, and escalation paths that protect teams from constant ad-hoc requests and shifting priorities - Develop managers to run their teams with increasing autonomy and hold a roadmap under pressure - Lead Integration Engineering, which delivers bi-directional EHR integrations across systems like Epic, Cerner, and Athena - Guide Integration Support Engineering from reactive response toward proactive reliability through better observability and tooling - Oversee Data Engineering as it migrates from legacy infrastructure to a modern ELT/ETL and Medallion stack - Build effective cross-functional relationships with Product, Data Science, Commercial, and Delivery Engineering
Requirements - 12+ years in software engineering or technical implementation, with meaningful time in data-intensive, integration-heavy, or platform domains - 8+ years in engineering leadership, including 4+ years managing managers and direct experience overseeing an organization of 30+ engineers - Solid technical grounding in integration systems and data architecture, with credibility to engage principals on trade-offs - High tolerance for ambiguity and a demonstrated ability to reduce it - Operational instincts from owning SLAs, on-call programs, incident management, or client-facing reliability commitments - Effective cross-functional stakeholder management with executive presence
