Role overview Develop statistical and machine learning solutions that support clinical trial recruitment, enrollment planning, and trial operations. The work spans model development, production monitoring, analytics infrastructure, and close collaboration with engineering and product partners in a regulated healthcare data environment.
Responsibilities - Build and improve forecasts for site randomization and enrollment trends to help plan trial resources. - Develop patient matching or ranking approaches that help identify suitable clinical trials and support recruitment. - Create predictive models using methods such as Bayesian inference, regression, and time-series forecasting. - Monitor deployed models for performance changes and bias, and help maintain fair, reliable results. - Build and optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows using cloud analytics and machine learning services. - Work with machine learning engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to integrate models and communicate findings. - Apply privacy requirements throughout data preparation, model development, and analysis.
Requirements - At least 5 years of hands-on data science or analytics experience, preferably in healthcare, clinical research, or another regulated setting. - Strong statistical modeling and machine learning skills, including Bayesian methods, regression, or time-series forecasting. - Advanced Python and SQL skills, with experience in common machine learning libraries and data transformation workflows. - Experience with cloud analytics and machine learning infrastructure; the source names AWS services including Athena, Redshift, and SageMaker. - Ability to assess model performance and bias and to communicate effectively across disciplines. - Experience handling sensitive data under privacy rules such as HIPAA or GDPR.
