Senior backend engineer

Role overview Own backend systems that coordinate a payments-related fulfilment pipeline from event monitoring through order processing and upstream card issuance. The work also includes maintaining a server-sent events stream and ensuring asynchronous operations remain reliable over time.

Responsibilities - Maintain the Stellar event watcher that feeds fulfilment workflows. - Develop and operate the order state machine, keeping transitions consistent and recoverable. - Integrate with upstream card issuance services as part of the fulfilment process. - Support the server-sent events stream used to communicate ongoing updates. - Ensure payment-related processing is correct and long-running asynchronous jobs behave reliably.

Requirements - Deep experience building backend services with Node.js. - Strong experience with SQLite. - Comfort handling payment correctness and the failure cases around financial workflows. - Experience with long-lived asynchronous jobs and stateful processing.
