AWS Engineer

Role overview A fully remote contractor opportunity for an experienced AWS Engineer to design and build cloud-native solutions on AWS as part of an international project. The work centers on serverless and event-driven architectures, infrastructure-as-code, and weaving in emerging AI capabilities to deliver production-grade cloud platforms.

Responsibilities - Design and implement cloud-native solutions and serverless, event-driven architectures on AWS. - Define and manage infrastructure using AWS CDK and broader Infrastructure-as-Code practices. - Apply AWS security and governance best practices across environments and accounts. - Contribute to architecture decisions that improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Help integrate AI services such as OpenAI or Anthropic into platform workflows and product features.

Requirements - Strong professional experience designing, building, and operating AWS-based systems. - Hands-on experience with serverless and event-driven architecture patterns. - Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, including AWS CDK. - Familiarity with AWS governance frameworks and security best practices. - Interest or experience working with AI technologies such as OpenAI or Anthropic. - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong problem-solving ability.
