Role overview This contract engagement focuses on web application development within an enterprise environment, building features and interfaces that span user-facing JavaScript layers through back-office Java services and Oracle Database integrations. The developer owns work across the full lifecycle, from design documentation through development, testing, go-live, and ongoing support. Proactivity, ownership, and the ability to suggest user-friendly enhancements are central to the role.
Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and support web applications across user interface, back-office, and database integration layers. - Build and enhance JavaScript-heavy front ends, including responsive layouts and geo-localization features. - Develop role-based access control and high-interaction database-driven user interfaces. - Implement software interfaces including web services, data exchange over database links, and file transfer and load scripts. - Propose user-friendly design improvements using modern JavaScript classes and patterns. - Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design documentation through go-live and post-release support.
Requirements - At least 5 years of web-based software development experience covering user interface, back-office, and Oracle Database layers. - Deep knowledge of JavaScript, JSP, and web development frameworks. - Experience with frameworks such as AngularJS, Marionette, or Backbone. - Familiarity with source code repositories including Subversion and Git. - Hands-on experience building web services and back-office interfaces that interact with Oracle databases in reliable, high-availability environments. - Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership across the full delivery process.
