Job details
About this role
Role overview Join a platform team focused on engineering operations for a large, distributed software organization undergoing an AI-first transformation. The mission is to make the internal development lifecycle as autonomous and frictionless as the core orchestration product itself, so engineering teams can focus on shipping. This is a software engineering role with a strong DevOps and process-design orientation, sitting at the intersection of infrastructure, release engineering, and developer experience.
Responsibilities - Design and implement AI-augmented workflows across code repositories, covering release management, autonomous dependency updates, and proactive security vulnerability remediation. - Continuously improve CI and release health using a metrics-driven approach, identifying and removing bottlenecks in build and deployment pipelines. - Partner with infrastructure and core engineering teams to roll out CI strategy, engineering best practices, and tooling standards across the organization. - Spot friction in developer workflows and convert them into automated, self-sustaining systems that scale with an AI-augmented engineering workforce. - Champion developer experience improvements and drive adoption of AI-assisted practices across engineering teams.
Requirements - Several years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of delivery, preferably using Java. - Specialization in backend or fullstack development. - A DevOps mindset with hands-on ownership of CI/CD optimization, dependency management, release processes, metrics collection, and build efficiency end-to-end. - Strong experience with CI build tools such as GitHub Actions, the Java ecosystem (Maven, Docker), and automation scripting in Shell or Python, ideally within monorepositories. - Proven ability to collaborate across teams and deliver impact in a platform-style environment. - Experience with developer experience tools, process optimization, and driving AI adoption in engineering.
Nice to have - Designing efficient cross-team operational processes. - Practical experience with BPMN or similar workflow orchestration systems.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote with global flexibility, plus generous paid time off and parental leave support. - Annual in-person kickoff events, team offsites, and a connection budget for meetups and local gatherings. - Locally tailored healthcare, global mental wellbeing support, and a flexible lifestyle spending account for health, family, personal interests, and financial wellbeing. - Retirement or pension plans with company contributions where applicable, plus life and disability insurance. - Annual learning budget of up to 1,000 in local currency for self-driven courses, certifications, and books.
