Role overview Join a platform engineering team driving an AI-first transformation across a large-scale software organization. The Senior Software Engineer on the Engineering Operations team will shape how internal development lifecycle processes are built, automated, and continuously improved, with the goal of making engineering workflows as autonomous as the products they support.
Responsibilities - Lead the design and implementation of AI-augmented engineering workflows, including automated release management, dependency updates, and proactive security vulnerability remediation across large code repositories. - Continuously monitor and optimize CI, release health, and developer velocity using metric-driven analysis to identify and remove bottlenecks. - Partner with infrastructure, core engineering, and leadership stakeholders to roll out CI strategy and engineering best practices organization-wide. - Turn friction points in current engineering workflows into automated, self-sustaining systems that scale with an AI-augmented workforce. - Champion developer experience improvements and drive adoption of AI-assisted tooling throughout the engineering organization.
Requirements - Senior-level software engineering background with a history of delivering results, ideally with strong Java experience. - Fullstack or backend specialization. - Demonstrated DevOps mindset, with hands-on ownership of CI/CD optimization, dependency management, release process improvements, metrics collection, and build efficiency. - Practical experience with CI build tools such as GitHub Actions, the Java ecosystem including Maven and Docker, and automation using Shell or Python in complex projects like monorepositories. - Proven ability to collaborate across teams in a platform-style environment and deliver impactful solutions. - Experience with developer experience tooling, process optimization, and driving AI adoption.
Nice to have - Experience designing efficient cross-team operations. - Practical experience with BPMN-style process orchestration systems.
