Senior Data Engineer

Role overview

A Senior Data Engineer is needed to join an AI-native data team shaping the data landscape for an organization becoming AI-first. The role blends traditional data engineering with machine learning work, including pipeline design, warehouse orchestration, and productionizing ML models. It is a fully remote, globally distributed position with significant cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

- Design and build pipelines that ingest data from source systems into the warehouse - Manage warehouse components and orchestrate the transformation layer - Build, productionize, and monitor ML models, including feature pipelines, training, serving, and inference - Lead architectural enhancements to optimize data warehouse performance, scalability, and efficiency - Strengthen CI/CD processes with a focus on data quality testing - Drive continuous improvement in product quality, security, and performance

Requirements

- 5+ years of data engineering or ML experience - Strong data modeling skills with several years of hands-on dbt experience - Experience deploying, operating, and evolving data pipelines in the cloud (batch and streaming) - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform - Strong communication skills and a collaborative, knowledge-sharing mindset - Passion for clean code and writing automated tests to maintain codebase quality

Nice to have

- Experience building monitoring infrastructure for data pipelines and applying DataOps best practices - Ownership mindset suited to a small, high-impact team - Familiarity with orchestrating AI agents and intelligent processes
