Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a senior Product Manager role focused on growth strategy for a self-serve email marketing platform used by thousands of small and mid-sized businesses. The position owns the end-to-end conversion picture, from signup through paid conversion, and partners closely with product, marketing, design, sales, and customer success teams to translate behavioral signals into a shared growth strategy. The role reports into product leadership and works directly with engineering and product peers based in Australia during AEST/AEDT hours.
Responsibilities - Own the self-serve conversion funnel, including signup, onboarding, activation, trial, and paid conversion, and define shared activation and conversion metrics. - Build funnel, cohort, retention, segmentation, and pathing analyses, then turn findings into prioritized product and go-to-market recommendations, measuring outcomes after launch. - Assess the competitive landscape by using competing products firsthand and monitoring category shifts in deliverability, authentication, AI-driven offerings, and pricing. - Maintain a market opportunity model covering addressable segment size, current position, realistic growth scenarios, assumptions, and sensitivities. - Bring evidence to decisions about plans, paywalls, and upgrade paths, and act as a trusted interpreter of product metrics across functions and time zones.
Requirements - 5+ years of product management experience with meaningful ownership of or influence on signup, onboarding, activation, trial conversion, or monetization in a product-led, self-serve business. - Hands-on product analytics experience, with Amplitude strongly preferred, including building and interpreting funnels, cohorts, retention, segmentation, and user paths. - Strong quantitative modeling and market-sizing skills, with the ability to make assumptions and limitations explicit. - Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and to communicate complex findings clearly to senior stakeholders. - Self-directed approach from discovery through measured outcomes, with comfort collaborating during AEST/AEDT working hours. - Practical fluency with AI tools for research and synthesis, paired with sound judgment about their limits.
Nice to have - Experience in email marketing, marketing automation, martech, or the email service provider category, especially serving SMB or low-touch customers. - Experience launching pricing or packaging changes in a self-serve product. - Background working in a globally distributed product organization.
Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $140,000 to $150,000 annually. - Eligible to hire in select US states including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. - Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus life, accident, disability, supplemental health benefits, FSA, EAP, and pet insurance. - Generous paid time off, holidays, a birthday day off, paid volunteer time, and a 401(k) with company match. - Paid parental leave and a supportive remote work environment with flexibility.
