Senior SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant

Role overview Own the design and delivery of master data governance for a large, greenfield SAP S/4HANA financial modernization program. You will set governance patterns across financial, material, business partner, and custom asset data, serving as the senior MDG authority from design reviews through deployment and transition to sustainment.

Responsibilities - Define MDG data models, user interfaces, governance processes, approval workflows, and business rules across assigned domains. - Design multi-system data replication, including distribution models, key and value mapping, and error recovery. - Establish data quality approaches for validation, derivation, consolidation, mass processing, and duplicate detection. - Set configuration and extension standards, review team designs, and align system controls with stewardship and security requirements. - Lead design workshops, assess options and risks, and present recommendations at formal reviews and milestone gates. - Support audit and authorization evidence, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and handoff to sustainment; mentor other consultants.

Requirements - At least five years of SAP MDG experience, including design ownership on a full lifecycle implementation. - Strong configuration experience in MDG data modeling, FPM user interface modeling, process modeling, BRF+ rules, and the Data Replication Framework. - Experience designing approval workflows with segregation of duties and replication across a multi-system SAP landscape. - Track record leading governance workshops, owning complex workstreams, and delivering enterprise-scale SAP solutions with limited oversight. - Related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; stated experience ranges are 5–7 years with a degree or 7–10 years without one. - Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one before assignment; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have - Experience delivering multiple MDG domains, including finance, materials, or business partners, and custom objects using MDG flex options. - Experience configuring MDG consolidation, mass processing, duplicate detection, and matching.
