Role overview A senior consulting role responsible for delivering SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions across complex logistics environments. The position drives requirement workshops, builds functional designs, leads implementation lifecycles, and mentors associate and mid-level consultants. It is ideal for a hands-on expert comfortable in client-facing, high-accountability settings.
Responsibilities - Lead requirement-gathering sessions and translate business needs into high-quality SAP EWM functional designs. - Configure and customize EWM capabilities including transportation planning, freight order management, carrier selection, and optimization. - Develop test scenarios, perform functional testing, and resolve defects to ensure quality outcomes. - Create user guides and configuration documentation, and deliver end-user and client training. - Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and functional teams to integrate EWM with ECC, S/4HANA, and related modules. - Troubleshoot complex configuration, data, and integration issues; support data migration and interface development. - Mentor junior and mid-level consultants and contribute to internal best-practice development. - Travel up to 50% for workshops, testing, implementation, and go-live activities.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field, or equivalent experience. - 7+ years of SAP EWM experience with at least one full lifecycle implementation. - Hands-on configuration across planning, freight execution, carrier selection, and optimization. - Functional testing and QA experience. - SAP S/4HANA or EWM certification, or ability to obtain within six months. - U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Nice to have - Experience with the Department of Defense or other federal agencies. - Familiarity with SAP EWM cross-module integration and SAP Activate or ASAP methodologies. - ServiceNow experience and continuous improvement or operational excellence background.
