Role overview

The SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant II provides expert guidance in designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP EWM solutions for complex client environments. The role translates business requirements into functional designs, supports testing and deployment, and collaborates across cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with related systems. Consultants at this level operate independently on demanding projects while mentoring junior team members and shaping outcomes that matter to client operations.

Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze warehouse management requirements, then translate them into clear functional specifications - Configure and customize SAP EWM modules to align with client business processes and operational goals - Perform functional testing, resolve defects, and validate end-to-end EWM functionality - Develop user guides, configuration documentation, and training materials for client teams - Deliver end-user and client training on EWM processes and best practices - Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and functional peers to ensure seamless integration with ECC, S/4HANA, and related modules - Provide timely support for configuration, data, and system-behavior issues, partnering with technical teams on integration, data migration, and interfaces - Mentor associate-level team members, contribute to knowledge sharing, and identify opportunities for process improvement within warehouse operations - Travel up to 50% to support project activities, testing cycles, and go-live events

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience - SAP EWM certification, or ability to obtain within six months of hire - 4+ years of SAP EWM experience, including at least one full lifecycle implementation - Hands-on experience configuring and customizing SAP EWM functionalities - Experience conducting functional testing and supporting QA activities - U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment - Willingness to travel up to 50%

- Experience working with the Department of Defense or other federal agencies - Familiarity with ServiceNow - Knowledge of SAP Activate or ASAP methodologies - Experience integrating EWM with ECC, S/4HANA, or other SAP modules - Understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes, and industry-specific requirements - Experience supporting data migration, interface development, or system integration activities - Exposure to continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives
