Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

Role overview Take independent responsibility for a production component or service, making technical decisions, delivering improvements, and keeping the system healthy for its users. The role combines hands-on engineering with mentoring and coordination with product partners; it has no direct reports and offers a path toward broader technical direction.

Responsibilities - Own a system area in production, monitor its health, and address risks before they become incidents. - Translate business needs into technical plans with Product, surfacing missing information early. - Build, ship, and support software used by customers, taking accountability when issues arise. - Deliver against commitments and communicate early when plans or timelines change. - Mentor colleagues, share feedback, and document knowledge so the team can work effectively. - Improve engineering practices, tools, or processes when they no longer serve the work.

Requirements - Four or more years of hands-on .NET and C# experience as a current core skill. - Proven independent ownership of a production component or service, including operational accountability. - Ability to turn business requirements into technical plans while working directly with stakeholders. - Examples of mentoring other engineers and improving their skills or judgment. - Practical use of AI coding agents for implementation or review, with careful assessment and ownership of the resulting code. - Deliberate application of object-oriented design, test-driven development, SOLID principles, and CQRS.
