EPIC Clinical Informatics Specialist - REMOTE

Role overview

A remote clinical informatics role supporting a community-based healthcare organization that provides home-based, palliative, and hospice care across adult and pediatric populations. The position partners with frontline clinicians, operational leaders, and technical teams to optimize, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the Epic electronic health record and related clinical technologies.

Responsibilities

- Analyze clinical and operational workflows to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, usability, documentation, and patient care. - Translate clinical and operational needs into system requirements, workflow recommendations, and technology solutions that balance user needs with regulatory requirements. - Support projects from requirements gathering and testing through deployment and post-go-live optimization, including workflow-based and user acceptance testing. - Provide at-the-elbow and hands-on support during go-lives, upgrades, and other high-impact initiatives. - Act as a liaison between clinicians, operational leaders, and technical teams, and participate in governance, prioritization, quality, and compliance initiatives. - Deliver Epic classroom training and workflow education as needed, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for critical Epic or clinical application issues.

Requirements

- Two or more years of experience supporting Epic or other clinical applications, clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or related systems and workflows. - Experience collaborating with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders across multiple functions. - Current Epic certification in Dorothy and/or Comfort is required; current Epic Ambulatory certification may be considered in lieu of Dorothy or Comfort.

Nice to have

- Background supporting hospice, palliative, or home-based care delivery models.

Benefits and work setup

Full-time remote role, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with in-office presence requested for orientation and trainings at the Larkspur, California office. The role includes a competitive pay range of $130,000 to $150,000 annually, a supportive work environment, and organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
