About this role
Role overview Build confidence in both the software experience and the numerical results it produces. This role combines end-to-end application testing with checks that detect incorrect, unexplained, or silently changing outputs, including issues caused by models or incoming data.
Responsibilities - Own automated testing across unit, integration, API contract, and browser levels, with checks running on every code change. - Create and maintain reference cases with known answers, and use them to assess changes before release. - Compare numerical outputs across versions, investigate drift, and make changes understandable to the team. - Test data ingestion for schema changes, missing fields, and records that appear current despite no longer updating. - Exercise failure scenarios such as invalid or incomplete input, timeouts, and partial outages. - Check accessibility, responsive behaviour, and common user journeys across browsers and devices; reproduce reported issues and turn them into durable tests.
Requirements - Ability to write test code in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python. - Experience maintaining browser automation with Playwright, Cypress, or a comparable tool, including diagnosing flaky tests. - SQL skills sufficient to verify results against underlying data. - Practical API testing experience covering contracts, edge cases, error handling, and correctness beyond successful status codes. - A careful approach to interpreting passing tests and persistence in finding untested failure cases.
