About this role
Role overview
Build and operate the cloud infrastructure behind a global payments platform, with an emphasis on resilience, security, and availability across regions. You’ll partner with software engineering teams to improve deployment workflows, observability, automation, and the tools developers use to run their services.
Responsibilities - Design, provision, and maintain secure, scalable, multi-region cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices. - Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines that support safe, consistent releases across environments. - Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting to support high availability and faster incident response. - Integrate security controls, automated compliance checks, access management, and secrets handling into the software delivery lifecycle. - Develop internal platforms and self-service tools that help engineers deploy, test, and operate services independently. - Promote operational standards and automation, and mentor engineers across the organization.
Requirements - Experience operating and scaling production systems in a modern cloud environment such as AWS. - Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. - Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, such as EKS or an equivalent service. - Experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or ArgoCD. - Practical knowledge of observability systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK or OpenSearch. - Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Go, plus a sound understanding of cloud security, network architecture, permissions, and secrets management. - Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rotation.
Nice to have
Experience with regulated environments, payments, financial technology, or crypto and blockchain infrastructure is useful. Familiarity with AI-assisted developer workflows or automation is also a plus.
