About this role
Role overview An open-source engineering role building Go SDKs that let developers observe, evaluate, and optimize AI and LLM behavior in production applications. The libraries are a critical layer of an evaluation and observability platform, running across diverse environments, frameworks, and AI providers, and the engineer owns the full lifecycle from API design through implementation, release, documentation, and community engagement.
Responsibilities - Design and ship idiomatic, resilient Go SDKs for an LLM evaluation and AI observability platform - Integrate with major AI providers and frameworks so the libraries fit naturally into customer stacks - Build tooling and automation that streamline testing, profiling, and release workflows - Maintain high-quality documentation that prioritizes developer experience and performance - Serve as a community-facing voice, helping users debug issues and adopt the libraries - Partner closely with backend, platform, and product teams to deliver a cohesive developer experience
Requirements - Strong proficiency in Go with a sense for idiomatic APIs and library design - Experience shipping production-quality libraries or SDKs to external developers - Familiarity with AI/LLM provider APIs and adjacent frameworks - Comfort owning the full project lifecycle, including documentation and support - Clear written communication for technical docs, code review, and user-facing threads
Nice to have - Prior open-source maintainership or notable open-source contributions - Background in observability, evaluation, or developer tooling - Care for performance, efficiency, and the small details that make a library delightful
