Remote Full Stack Developer (Frontend-Focused) - Mexico

Role overview A remote full stack developer with a frontend focus is needed to build clean, performant websites for a content marketing agency's clients across a range of industries. Most of the work centers on HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript—turning design mockups into accessible, pixel-perfect interfaces—while enough PHP and CMS knowledge is expected to extend, troubleshoot, and integrate when needed.

Responsibilities - Build custom WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks (ACF or React-based), and plugins from provided designs. - Translate mockups into responsive, accessible frontend code using HTML, CSS/SASS, and modern JavaScript. - Work within Drupal for client sites that require it, including theming, content types, and module-level troubleshooting. - Diagnose and fix frontend and backend issues across a variety of CMS platforms. - Collaborate directly with designers, consultants, and occasionally clients to refine implementations. - Use AI-assisted development tools to plan and execute parts of larger projects.

Requirements - 5+ years of professional frontend development with strong HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript fundamentals. - 3+ years building and customizing WordPress sites, including Gutenberg block development (ACF or React-based blocks). - Solid working knowledge of PHP 7.x/8.x—able to read, debug, and extend WordPress/Drupal codebases confidently. - Practical Drupal experience including theming, content architecture, or module-level work. - Familiarity with WordPress hooks/filters and general LAMP-stack conventions (MySQL, Git). - Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating in a remote, client-facing environment.

Nice to have - Experience with React or Angular. - Familiarity with Laravel or Symfony. - Comfort with Docker and Linux environments. - Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
