Senior Presales Solutions Engineer

Role overview A senior pre-sales solutions engineering role focused on API management and governance for enterprise clients across North America. The position acts as a principal architect helping organizations move from fragmented connectivity to a unified, governed data ecosystem that bridges back-end data integration, master data governance, and front-end API consumption.

Responsibilities - Design end-to-end API strategies covering design, documentation, security policy enforcement, and retirement - Advise C-level stakeholders and enterprise architects on the ROI of an API-first approach - Serve as a subject matter expert on enterprise security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT - Architect developer portals that make internal and external APIs discoverable and consumable - Coordinate cross-functional teams on complex proof-of-concepts and RFI/RFP responses - Demonstrate how API management, integration platforms, and master data management work together to deliver a trusted enterprise data record

Requirements - Extensive experience with API lifecycle management and high-performance API gateways in complex, distributed environments - Deep proficiency in modern identity providers and security frameworks, including risk mitigation at the edge - Proven ability to design solutions involving microservices, service mesh, and event-driven architectures - Track record of consultative technical selling with executive audiences - Strong communication and influencing skills - Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as computer science, mathematics, or engineering preferred

Nice to have - Advanced proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP and enterprise API suites such as MuleSoft, Apigee, or Kong - Industry credentials in cloud architecture, information security (CISSP/CCSP), or enterprise frameworks (TOGAF) - Familiarity with API lifecycle management for AI-driven APIs and large language models - Experience with data integration platforms and master data management solutions and how they feed API-led connectivity

Benefits and work setup - Listed on-target earnings: $175,512 – $219,390 USD for US-based candidates, inclusive of commission - Remote-friendly position with final compensation influenced by knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location - Eligibility for an annual performance bonus on non-commissioned components
