Sr Platform Engineer, ML Infrastructure

Role overview Senior platform engineering role focused on building the foundational systems, tooling, and infrastructure that enable machine-learning teams to ship faster across cloud and on-premises environments. Rather than training models directly, the role designs scalable ML platforms that support the full ML lifecycle and powers work in computer vision, robotics, and intelligent machinery for agriculture, construction, and forestry. The team operates as a cross-disciplinary research-and-development group on a mission to advance autonomy and sustainability in heavy industry.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and operate scalable ML infrastructure and platform capabilities covering the full machine-learning lifecycle across cloud and on-prem environments. - Develop developer tooling and internal platforms that accelerate data science and applied ML workflows. - Improve reliability, scalability, and operability of platform components used by ML teams. - Partner closely with applied researchers and ML engineers to translate their workflows into well-designed platform primitives. - Advance platform practices such as CI/CD, observability, and resource management for ML workloads.

Requirements - Senior-level software engineering background with substantial ML infrastructure or platform engineering experience. - Strong skills in designing scalable, reliable distributed systems serving ML workloads. - Familiarity with the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data, training, deployment, and inference. - Ability to work across cloud and on-premises environments, including hybrid setups. - Comfortable collaborating with ML researchers and engineers as a platform partner rather than a model developer.

Nice to have - Background supporting computer vision, robotics, or other large-scale ML efforts. - Experience building internal developer platforms or shared tooling used by multiple applied teams.
