Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure Team

Role overview Direct a high-performing Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for the cloud platform powering personalization experiences across hundreds of millions of end users. This leadership role spans GCP architecture, Kubernetes operations, database reliability, and observability, partnering closely with product, security, and application engineering teams to keep the platform scalable, secure, and developer-friendly.

Responsibilities - Lead, hire, mentor, and grow an Infrastructure Engineering team, owning team rituals including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement. - Own infrastructure strategy and execution across GCP services, Kubernetes platform operations, database lifecycle management, and the observability stack (metrics, logs, traces, alerting, dashboards). - Serve as a foundation team leader for application teams by providing cloud architecture consultation, shared infrastructure standards, and reusable self-service tooling. - Drive reliability and operational excellence through SLOs/SLIs, incident management, postmortems, and automation. - Partner with Security and Compliance to enforce best practices for access control, data protection, and auditability. - Own infrastructure financial governance, including cloud cost monitoring, optimization initiatives, and accountability for engineering spend.

Requirements - Significant experience leading infrastructure or platform engineering teams at scale. - Deep hands-on expertise with GCP, Kubernetes, production databases, and observability tooling. - Strong background in SRE practices, including SLO definition, incident response, and postmortem culture. - Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with product, application engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders. - Track record of improving developer experience and delivery speed through platform tooling and standards.

Nice to have - Experience with cloud cost optimization frameworks, FinOps practices, and capacity planning. - Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS platforms serving large-scale consumer traffic.
