Role overview Own the end-to-end post-checkout experience for a commerce platform spanning food ordering and retail ecommerce. The Staff Product Manager defines strategy for pickup, delivery, and shipping flows, shaping how customers track orders, receive updates, and resolve issues while helping sellers build trust and repeat business.
Responsibilities - Set the strategy and priorities for the post-checkout customer experience across food ordering and retail, deciding which problems to invest in based on customer needs and business goals. - Connect related work across product, engineering, design, and external partners, resolving gaps and competing priorities to deliver a coherent customer experience. - Shape key customer journeys such as order tracking, late delivery handling, missing items, and refunds, working closely with design and engineering on flows, interactions, and communications. - Use AI and automation tools to streamline customer research, analysis, prototyping, product development, and launch workflows, building reusable practices that help teams make decisions independently. - Define the quality bar for product ideas and AI-generated work, evaluating them against real customer scenarios, testing assumptions, and refining until experiences are clear and dependable. - Prototype and ship improvements directly using AI tools, contributing code changes through pull requests and collaborating with engineers to ship to production.
Requirements - Significant product management experience with strong product sense, attention to detail, and ability to identify where customers get confused or experiences can be simplified. - Demonstrated ability to set strategy and priorities for a complex, multi-stakeholder product area spanning customer-facing experiences and seller tools. - Experience working closely with design and engineering teams to ship customer-facing features. - Comfort using AI tools to prototype ideas, run customer tests, and iterate quickly, plus working knowledge of GitHub and developer workflows including pull requests. - Background defining and applying a quality bar, evaluating product ideas against real customer scenarios, and balancing AI automation with human judgment. - Track record of spending time with customers and sellers to translate insights into trusted, repeatable product experiences.
Nice to have - Experience with commerce, food ordering, retail ecommerce, or logistics and delivery operations. - Familiarity with AI-assisted product development workflows and reusable automation patterns. - Background scaling product organizations or coordinating work across multiple teams shipping in parallel.
