About this role

Role overview

A senior data scientist is needed to strengthen risk and support operations across a portfolio of consumer finance and commerce products. The role centers on building durable measurement systems, evaluating experiments, and applying AI-assisted workflows to move from raw data to clear, well-supported decisions. It is a senior, agentic position that partners closely with product, engineering, and risk stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into rigorous analyses.

Responsibilities

- Translate product, customer, and risk data into insights, decision frameworks, and durable measurement systems for product, risk, and business partners - Use AI tools and agent workflows to accelerate exploration, automate repetitive work, generate hypotheses, and stress-test conclusions - Own end-to-end execution across analysis, metrics definition, experimentation, forecasting, visualization, and decision support - Build and maintain measurement frameworks for support and risk operations, including contact demand forecasting, staffing modeling, and queue health optimization - Evaluate model and policy performance, monitor cohorts for bias or drift, and connect risk decisions to product and business outcomes - Design and analyze experiments, rollouts, and policy changes affecting customer access, repayment outcomes, and product growth - Lead technical direction for the data science function, creating reusable frameworks, measurement templates, and scalable tooling - Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to hiring through interviews and calibrations

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, economics, computer science, or a similar quantitative field with 12+ years of relevant experience, OR a graduate degree in a similar field with 6-8+ years of experience - Advanced SQL proficiency and a track record of building clear, decision-oriented data visualizations - Strong product, analytical, and statistical judgment, including the ability to turn ambiguous questions into sound analyses and communicate tradeoffs - Experience using AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and durability of analytical work
