Data Scientist, Payments

Role overview Early-career data science role focused on payments data across consumer payments and seller commerce products. The position partners with Product, Operations, Finance, and Engineering to optimize a payments platform across success rate, cost efficiency, and risk, and contributes to broader data initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities - Use AI to build scalable data tools, agents, and automations that accelerate workflows. - Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to drive data-informed decisions. - Measure and optimize the cost and performance of the payments stack. - Design, run, and analyze experiments and turn findings into actionable recommendations. - Build ETL pipelines, dashboards, and machine learning models. - Stand up and improve cloud data infrastructure, tooling, and operational processes.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with a strong academic record. - Prior internship experience working with code. - Hands-on experience working with large datasets using SQL and Python. - Experience using AI tools to accelerate development, improve data workflows, and automate processes. - Strong analytical skills and business acumen, plus clear communication with non-technical partners. - Knowledge of systems architecture and cloud infrastructure.

Nice to have - Experience in payments or banking.
