About this role

Role overview Design the human-computer interaction layer for an AI-native productivity product aimed at users who do not want to wrestle with complex prompts. The role focuses on inventing interaction patterns that help people understand, guide, correct, and stay in control of AI systems that reason and act over multiple steps. You will work end-to-end from concept through shipped product across web and mobile.

Responsibilities - Design complete user experiences for AI product surfaces, from early concept through shipped releases - Define interaction patterns for human-AI workflows covering prompting, review, confirmation, correction, handoff, and recovery - Design interfaces that make AI state legible: what the system is doing, what it knows, what it is uncertain about, and what comes next - Translate complex multi-step AI capabilities into flows that feel clear, controllable, and usable day to day - Partner closely with product, engineering, and ML teams to frame problems, test ideas, and ship quickly - Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile - Run lightweight user research and usability tests to surface friction, trust issues, and failure points - Contribute reusable HCI design patterns to the evolving product and design system

Requirements - Product or UX design experience with a portfolio across web or mobile products - Strong interaction design, information hierarchy, and prototyping skills - Proficiency in Figma with comfort iterating at speed - Ability to simplify complex systems and turn ambiguous product behavior into clear experiences - Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers in fast-moving teams - Comfort designing under ambiguity before requirements are fully defined - Good judgment on usability, edge cases, and failure handling - Clear thinking about trust, control, feedback, and transparency in AI-driven experiences

Nice to have - Background designing for non-deterministic or asynchronous systems - Experience conducting evaluative research and feeding findings back into product direction

Benefits and work setup - Small, high-talent-density team with high ownership and rapid execution - Hands-on environment where designers contribute directly and operate independently - Portfolio submission is part of the application, followed by two interview rounds and a design assessment - Virtual and/or onsite interview formats with a transparent, prompt hiring decision
