Frontend Engineer

Role overview

Build the web interfaces for a suite of productivity experiences spanning messaging, notes, calendars, documents, and spreadsheets. You will take complex, interactive features from technical design through production, shaping reusable frontend foundations and integrating AI capabilities into everyday user workflows.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain major web product areas, including chat, notes, calendar, document editing, and spreadsheet experiences. - Implement interactive capabilities such as real-time messaging, collaborative editing, scheduling, rich text, tables, and spreadsheets. - Create reusable frontend architecture and components that behave consistently across product areas. - Integrate streaming model responses and proactive AI actions into user workflows. - Own performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and reliability across browsers and devices. - Work with product and design partners to turn concepts and prototypes into production features.

Requirements

- Strong experience delivering complex production web applications with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tools. - Solid knowledge of frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs, and performance. - Experience with interactive products such as collaboration tools, productivity software, editors, calendars, or workspaces. - Familiarity with real-time systems, WebSockets, streaming APIs, or collaborative interfaces. - Strong product and interface judgment, with care for interaction details. - Ability to own features independently from design decisions through production delivery.

Nice to have

- Experience with Next.js, Node.js, REST or GraphQL APIs, and AI-enabled product experiences.
