Developer Educator & DevRel
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A hybrid Developer Educator and Developer Relations role on a fully remote, globally distributed team that has been teaching modern web development for over a decade. The mission is to research new tools, frameworks, and best practices so developers do not have to fall into endless rabbit holes, then turn those insights into clear, bite-sized lessons, content, and community conversations. This is a generalist position for a high-energy technical storyteller who can learn complex topics fast, break them down simply, and stay in constant contact with the developer community.
Responsibilities
- Research emerging developer tools, AI integrations, and best practices, then build small prototypes to validate ideas worth teaching - Create educational content such as video courses, written tutorials, workshops, screencasts, and learning repositories - Engage with developer communities through events, online forums, social channels, and direct conversations - Represent the team as a speaker at international conferences and community events - Contribute to open-source projects, demos, and sample code that reinforce the lessons taught - Own the full pipeline from research through prototyping, teaching, and iterating based on community feedback
Requirements
- Deep experience in at least one area of modern web development - Strong fundamentals across the broader web stack rather than a single-framework specialty - Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and translate them into clear, accessible material - Confident on stage, with experience presenting technical topics to large audiences - Self-directed, organized, and comfortable owning a content pipeline end to end - Excellent writing and communication skills for producing trusted educational material
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with AI developer tools, SDKs, and automation workflows - A track record of open-source contributions - Comfort with public speaking, workshops, and community building
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote, async-first work with a few overlapping hours for collaboration - Communication primarily through team chat and a shared documentation workspace - Competitive salary plus performance bonuses - Flexible hours and flexible paid time off, with paid local bank holidays - Annual company workcation trip - Budget for equipment, training, and conferences - Hardware provided for recording and screencasting - Opportunities to travel and speak at international events
