Job details
About this role
Role overview A remote, full-time opportunity for a hands-on Technical Product Manager to help build a developer-first certification platform from the ground up. The role suits someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats across product, technical translation, and delivery in a fast-moving, early-stage environment. The focus is on scaling a secure, exam-based platform that serves a large technical audience.
Responsibilities - Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and iteration. - Work directly with engineers on system design, APIs, and third-party integrations, including proctoring and identity verification components. - Define and prioritize requirements that balance user needs, security, scalability, and system constraints. - Collaborate on incremental shipping plans, adapting priorities quickly as the product evolves. - Translate business needs into clear technical implementation guidance for the engineering team. - Engage with the developer community to gather feedback and inform product direction.
Requirements - 4–7+ years of experience in technical product management, engineering, or hybrid roles. - Hands-on development background with modern web stacks, ideally including Laravel (PHP) and Vue.js. - Strong understanding of web architectures, APIs, third-party integrations, and cloud-based systems. - Proven experience collaborating closely with engineers in fast-moving startup environments. - Comfort engaging in technical discussions around scalability, security, and system constraints. - Clear communication skills and the ability to ship incrementally while learning quickly.
Nice to have - Experience with online exams, certifications, ed-tech, or proctoring systems. - Background in developer tooling or platforms built for technical audiences. - Familiarity with high-concurrency systems or time-critical workflows such as exam windows. - Prior startup or early-stage product experience.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote position with flexible hours and flexible paid time off. - Paid local bank holidays and an annual company workcation trip. - Competitive salary with performance bonuses. - Budget for equipment, training, and conferences, plus hardware for recording and screencasting. - Opportunities to travel and speak at international events.
