Technical Program Manager
Job details
About this role
Role overview Drive execution across a technical program portfolio spanning AI-powered product builds and cross-functional infrastructure initiatives at a B2B accounts receivable and payments software company. As a Technical Program Manager, you will pair AI co-work tools with strong program judgment, tracking workstreams, surfacing risk early, unblocking engineering, and translating technical complexity into decisions leadership can act on.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end execution of assigned technical programs and strategic initiatives, from scope definition through delivery. - Convert scattered lists of open items into structured plans with clear owners, dates, and dependencies, then drive them to completion. - Partner directly with engineering teams, engaging in technical conversations about architecture, trade-offs, and constraints. - Translate technical complexity into plain-language updates for non-technical stakeholders and leadership. - Maintain a real-time view of program health across the technical portfolio and flag risks early. - Build reporting and dashboards that synthesize data from multiple systems into a single source of truth.
Requirements - 3 to 5 years of experience in technical program or project management, ideally supporting engineering or product teams; recent graduates with strong internship or co-op experience are also considered. - Demonstrated ability to build AI into personal and team workflows for planning, tracking, and reporting. - Comfort operating in ambiguity and structuring loosely defined asks into plans with clear owners and dates. - Working technical fluency, with the ability to hold a substantive conversation with engineers about architecture and trade-offs. - Track record of taking ownership of a messy list of open items and driving it to closure. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex between technical and executive audiences.
Nice to have - Experience supporting AI product builds or technical transformation initiatives. - Background in a high-growth or PE-backed environment where speed matters more than process maturity. - PMP, CSM, or equivalent program management certification.
Benefits and work setup - Expected base salary range of $111,138 to $138,923 annually, with potential additional incentives such as equity, commissions, or other variable performance bonuses depending on role. - Comprehensive health coverage, competitive retirement benefits, generous PTO and parental leave, and flexible work options. - Meaningful investment in professional development. - Onsite role based in Nashville, TN, working from the Gulch office.
