Backend Software Engineer

Role overview Develop and maintain server-side systems designed for availability, low latency, and growth. You’ll work across API and database development, integrations, and the full delivery lifecycle, helping turn new ideas into prototypes and production features. The role is remote in India and asks for 1–3 years of backend development experience.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain backend services in JavaScript and Node.js, with a focus on NestJS. - Design and support APIs and integrations with other systems. - Research technologies and develop both prototypes and production-ready features. - Create and maintain PostgreSQL databases, with attention to data integrity and performance. - Use Redis for caching and Docker for containerization. - Contribute to development from initial concept through deployment and ongoing maintenance, working with cross-functional partners.

Requirements - 1–3 years of backend software development experience. - Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js; familiarity with NestJS is strongly preferred. - Strong SQL database knowledge, especially PostgreSQL. - Experience with Redis and Docker. - Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to a rapid build, test, and release cycle. - Self-directed approach and interest in building scalable, efficient systems.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Python.
