Role overview Lead high-profile user experience work for a portfolio of enterprise cybersecurity software platforms. Shape design strategy, mentor a distributed UX team, and partner with product, engineering, and research colleagues to deliver intuitive, validated experiences for security practitioners.
Responsibilities - Support the UX design vision, strategy, and roadmap in partnership with UX leadership, balancing user needs and business goals. - Collaborate with UX researchers to plan usability testing, synthesize findings, and translate insights into design improvements. - Provide mentorship, coaching, and design leadership to UX designers, elevating quality and supporting growth. - Drive process improvements and lead exercises that expand UX adoption across product teams. - Lead end-to-end design, including user-centered ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing. - Illustrate design concepts through storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps. - Design intuitive interfaces that apply and evolve the in-house design system while improving consistency. - Conduct or synthesize research in partnership with dedicated UX Research specialists to reduce product risk. - Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align on strategy, success metrics, and shared product vision. - Partner with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to balance requirements, constraints, and user needs. - Champion standardization, reduce design debt, and establish scalable UX practices across the product portfolio. - Stay current on UX and cybersecurity trends and lead adoption of AI-enhanced design practices.
Requirements - Extensive experience leading UX design for complex software products, including strategy and team mentorship. - Strong portfolio demonstrating user research, usability testing, and design thinking. - Ability to mentor designers and provide constructive design feedback. - Comfort working with remote, distributed teams. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Solid conceptualization and visual communication skills with strong attention to detail. - Ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term vision and strategy. - Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and common development practices. - Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, including accessibility practices. - Self-starter with the ability to learn new tools and approaches quickly. - Strong relationship-building skills, able to champion UX across the organization. - Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
Nice to have - Windows and macOS experience. - Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, or other mobile platform experience. - UX design experience for enterprise cybersecurity software. - Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, or Jira. - Experience working within Agile development teams.
