Role overview Lead software delivery across full-stack applications and data workflows, helping turn product needs into reliable features. The role combines hands-on Python development with technical leadership, close collaboration, and mentoring. It also calls for practical use of AI agents to improve engineering speed and quality.
Responsibilities - Lead projects and support the development team, including mentoring junior engineers. - Work with product partners to assess feasibility and break work into deliverable stories. - Build and maintain web applications and REST APIs, primarily with Python frameworks. - Create data transformation and ETL workflows, and manage PostgreSQL schemas and SQL queries. - Write and review automated tests, troubleshoot complex issues, and uphold code quality. - Coordinate with technical and non-technical partners to deliver application features and business logic.
Requirements - Senior full-stack development experience, including development lead responsibilities. - Advanced Python skills and experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI; familiarity with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript. - Experience building REST APIs and data pipelines, with SQL and PostgreSQL skills in schema design and query optimization. - Proven ability to build and ship agentic workflows using agents, tool use, and MCP or comparable approaches; able to coach others on AI-assisted development and review its output. - Experience with unit testing, test-driven development, and tools such as pytest; strong debugging and problem-solving skills. - Clear live communication, collaborative working habits, and familiarity with Git, CI pipelines, and ticketing processes.
Nice to have Redis, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure or AWS, geospatial data tools, and observability platforms. Experience with Databricks or similar ETL platforms is relevant. The role may include collaborative programming during onboarding and ongoing work, and may require in-person interview, orientation, or training.
