Cloud / DevOps Engineer

Role overview A cloud and DevOps role responsible for designing and operating the infrastructure that powers client applications at scale. The work blends platform engineering, automation, and cost-aware architecture across AWS services, with a heavy emphasis on infrastructure as code and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and operate AWS environments using services such as ECS, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for fast, reliable releases. - Manage infrastructure through Terraform or AWS CDK, treating environments as versioned code. - Ensure systems are secure, scalable, observable, and cost-efficient. - Containerize workloads with Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes where appropriate. - Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce toil and improve consistency.

Requirements - Professional experience with AWS, including ECS, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront. - Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions. - Proficiency with infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK. - Strong Docker skills and familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration. - Solid understanding of networking, security, and cost optimization in cloud environments. - A bias toward automation and eliminating manual, repetitive work.

Nice to have - AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer. - Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling. - Background supporting multiple client or production environments concurrently.
