Role overview A senior front-end engineering role on a small, mission-driven web apps team building data-dense clinical and diagnostic applications. The work centers on web tools that support clinical trials, EEG analytics, and at-home patient assessments for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep-related conditions. It is a remote, product-focused engineering position with significant influence on technical direction and user experience.
Responsibilities - Build and evolve React and TypeScript web applications that support clinical study management, analytics, and patient diagnostics - Design and ship UX workflows used by physicians, study site staff, and internal clinical operations teams - Take end-to-end ownership of the features you build, including UX quality, performance, reliability, and observability - Collaborate with product designers and cross-functional partners to deliver capabilities for diverse internal and external user personas - Contribute to roadmap planning and the long-term technical direction of the web platform - Implement visualizations for trial insights, physician-facing diagnostic report workflows, study enrollment tools, and compliance tracking features
Requirements - At least 8 years of professional front-end web development experience with React and TypeScript - Demonstrated experience building data-rich applications that visualize and manipulate large datasets - A product-oriented mindset with care for UX, edge cases, and performance - Comfort working with GraphQL-based APIs and designing consumers that scale well - Proficiency with debugging and profiling tools used to identify performance bottlenecks - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort working in an asynchronous, collaborative environment
Nice to have - Background building applications in clinical trials, patient care, or other regulated environments - Familiarity with EEG data or digital signal processing (DSP) - Experience contributing to backend systems or infrastructure - Open-source contributions in the React or TypeScript ecosystem
