Senior Software Engineer

Role overview Join a small engineering organization building a regulated platform for custodying, moving, and issuing stablecoins, where services handle real money and demand exceptional reliability and security. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and ship services across custody, transfers, issuance, or shared services, collaborating closely with product, compliance, and other engineers. The environment is cross-functional and fast-paced, with engineers expected to take ownership from day one.

Responsibilities - Design and ship services that handle custody, transfers, issuance, or compliance workflows with strong reliability and security - Own a service or capability across the product, raising production readiness and leading medium-scope projects like API contract updates or partner integrations - Strengthen reliability by adding better logging, tracing, alerts, and failure handling - Lead cross-service initiatives such as API versioning, data model migrations, or compliance-driven workflow changes - Shape technical direction through design docs, mentoring, and pragmatic, regulation-aware tradeoffs with product and compliance

Requirements - Senior-level engineering experience building production systems, ideally in financial services, payments, or other regulated domains - Strong sense of ownership and comfort shipping quickly in a small, cross-functional team - Experience designing stable APIs that downstream clients can rely on - Track record of building idempotent job flows, hardening key operations, and improving latency through query tuning, caching, or backpressure strategies - Ability to navigate tradeoffs between product velocity and compliance requirements

Nice to have - Familiarity with Go, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust in production - Experience with gRPC and REST, plus GraphQL/tRPC at the edge for frontend BFFs - Background with Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Temporal, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, Grafana, or Sentry - Exposure to hardware-backed key isolation (such as Nitro Enclaves) for sensitive operations
