Director, Enterprise Systems & Architecture

Role overview A senior leadership position is open for a Director of Enterprise Systems & Architecture at a public, cloud-focused technology company. The role owns the technical vision, architecture, and operations of enterprise platforms spanning commercial, financial, and go-to-market systems, while also shaping the governed infrastructure layer for emerging AI agent workloads. It is a build-and-operate leadership role combining strategic architecture work with hands-on platform engineering and direct team management.

Responsibilities - Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap across CRM, ERP, support, data, and billing platforms, including formal documentation such as system topology maps, data flow diagrams, integration inventories, and architecture decision records. - Serve as lead architect for integrations across major enterprise systems, establishing design standards, data contracts, and integration governance, and chairing the architecture review board. - Lead build vs. buy evaluations and platform selection, including AI tooling, agent orchestration frameworks, and LLMOps infrastructure, ensuring alignment with long-term architectural goals. - Build and operate the secure infrastructure that supports AI agents and automated workflows, including API gateways, identity and access controls, secrets management, observability, and audit logging suitable for SOX and other compliance regimes. - Directly manage Salesforce administration and NetSuite techno-functional teams, mentor staff and contractors, and establish best practices for change management and systems lifecycle management. - Partner with revenue, security, and finance leadership to balance delivery velocity with system integrity, scalability, and audit readiness.

Requirements - 10+ years in enterprise architecture, business systems, or platform engineering roles with ownership of multi-system environments at a public or compliance-regulated company. - Demonstrated experience deploying and governing AI agents or LLM-powered workflows in production, including prompt versioning, agent identity, and audit logging. - Deep experience architecting and governing Salesforce CRM at scale, plus working knowledge of NetSuite and Snowflake from both architectural and operational perspectives. - Hands-on experience with API gateways, secrets management, and identity-based access controls supporting automated workflows or agent systems. - Solid understanding of SOX IT General Controls and application controls, with recent experience producing control evidence in a public company environment. - Track record managing multi-functional business systems teams and designing integrations using event-driven, API-first, or middleware patterns.

Nice to have - Familiarity with iPaaS or middleware platforms such as Fivetran, Polytomic, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Celigo. - Experience developing master data management and data governance frameworks, or managing analytics architecture and BI platforms like Tableau. - Salesforce and NetSuite certifications, plus exposure to public or large enterprise compliance environments.
