Mobile Engineer

Role overview Build and maintain mobile product experiences for iOS and Android, with an emphasis on speed, reliability, and usability across varied devices and network conditions. You will own significant parts of a React Native application and work closely with design, backend, and product teams.

Responsibilities - Develop and ship features for transfers, cards, account management, and onboarding. - Improve startup time, rendering, memory use, and offline behavior. - Build native modules when platform-specific capabilities exceed React Native abstractions. - Work with designers to ensure shared components render consistently on both platforms. - Manage release workflows for testing and app store submissions. - Write automated tests and contribute to continuous integration.

Requirements - At least three years of professional React Native experience and apps released on both major app stores. - Strong TypeScript skills. - Ability to bridge to native iOS with Swift and Android with Kotlin when needed. - Experience with state management and asynchronous data patterns. - Attention to interface details and animations. - Experience troubleshooting on lower-end devices and slower networks.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Expo or the bare React Native workflow. - Financial product experience, especially authentication and biometric security. - Knowledge of push notification systems such as FCM or APNs.
