Role overview A security engineering position focused on protecting cloud infrastructure, application services, and machine learning pipelines from emerging threats. The role combines architectural design, hands-on threat modeling, and incident response to keep systems resilient and compliant across cloud and application layers. It suits a mid-to-senior engineer who enjoys partnering across infrastructure, platform, and ML teams.
Responsibilities - Perform threat modeling and security reviews for new and existing services, including ML and data workflows. - Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and least-privilege access controls. - Lead incident response activities, including triage, containment, and post-incident root cause analysis. - Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to harden deployments, network boundaries, and data access paths. - Evaluate and integrate security tooling, scanning, and monitoring across cloud and application environments.
Requirements - At least four years of experience in security engineering with a focus on cloud or application security. - Working knowledge of cloud security primitives such as IAM, VPC design, KMS, and secure development practices. - Hands-on experience with threat modeling, coordinating penetration tests, and structured incident response. - Familiarity with modern web application architectures and common attack vectors. - Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional engineering partners.
Nice to have - Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP or OSCP. - Experience securing ML pipelines or data engineering workflows.
