Role overview

A staff-level software developer position on a team building network management software that helps IT professionals automate routine work, streamline operations, and reduce risk. The role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership: you will stay embedded in a product development squad while influencing architecture, tooling, and engineering practices across the broader organization. The team operates as a fully distributed, remote-first group.

Responsibilities

- Own complex technical challenges and architect scalable, performant solutions for production systems - Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as Go, Scala, or TypeScript (React/GraphQL) - Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, tracing problems across systems to deliver lasting fixes - Apply AI-enabled techniques for intelligent tooling, automation, and data-informed debugging across the stack - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ship features that deliver real customer value - Lead by example through code reviews, mentorship, and championing best practices in development and testing - Proactively identify and implement technical improvements across the codebase, systems, and developer workflows

Requirements

- Hands-on engineer with a deep love of solving tough problems through code and building systems that scale - Strong grasp of system design, clean coding practices, and debugging complex issues in distributed environments - Track record tackling performance bottlenecks or scalability challenges in high-traffic systems - Familiarity with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Datadog for logging, tracing, metrics, and alerting - Collaborative team player who communicates effectively across functions and disciplines - Proactive self-starter able to independently lead projects from start to finish - Experience mentoring developers through pairing, design review, and constructive feedback
