Role overview Join a fully distributed engineering organization building a cloud-based network management platform that monitors millions of devices across tens of thousands of customer sites. The work centers on designing and evolving scalable microservices for an infrastructure-monitoring product used by IT teams worldwide, with a strong emphasis on distributed systems, reliability, and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities - Architect fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable microservices that handle high-volume telemetry and device data. - Build, deploy, and operate containerized workloads using Kubernetes orchestration across cloud environments. - Design protocols and streaming pipelines that enable communication across a large-scale distributed system, including work on a Kafka-backed streaming platform. - Develop reliable, performant code for collectors running on customer sites and contribute tooling that interprets networking data such as NetFlow and Syslog. - Apply AI-assisted engineering techniques, intelligent automation, and data-informed debugging to improve reliability and accelerate delivery. - Partner with product management and engineering peers to translate customer needs into shipped software, while mentoring junior and intermediate engineers.

Requirements - Several years of hands-on experience writing production-grade code in C++ or Go for distributed systems. - Demonstrated background designing and operating microservices in production. - Working knowledge of a major cloud platform, ideally AWS, including compute, networking, and managed services. - Experience building reliable, highly available software on streaming infrastructure such as Kafka. - Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile methodologies like Scrum. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to mentor teammates and collaborate across teams.
