Role overview A senior software developer is needed to join an agile engineering team building a network management service that monitors millions of devices. The role centers on designing fault-tolerant microservices, advancing a distributed cloud-based platform, and shaping technical direction through deep systems thinking. It suits an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on coding, mentoring, and applying AI-enabled techniques pragmatically to complex distributed problems.

Responsibilities - Design architectures for microservices that are consistent, scalable, high-quality, and tolerant to faults and failures. - Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes orchestration across a distributed environment. - Design and implement protocols for communication in a highly scalable, distributed system. - Develop reliable, performant code for a collector component deployed at tens of thousands of customer sites. - Apply deep knowledge of networking devices and protocols to expand the depth and breadth of the solution. - Collaborate with engineering and product management to deliver software components aligned with customer needs.

Requirements - Several years of experience developing quality code and architectures, preferably using Golang. - Background in designing and developing microservices architectures. - Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably AWS. - Experience building reliable, highly available, and scalable software on top of the Kafka streaming platform. - Proficiency with agile methodologies such as Scrum and a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for mentoring junior and intermediate engineers.
